Posting rules

These rules are about how to post. Our Community Rules cover what isn't allowed anywhere, and they apply here too.

Before you post

• Search first. Someone may already have asked. Add to an existing topic instead of starting a new one on the same thing.
• Pick the right section. Each section says what it's for at the top. Staff may move a topic that's in the wrong place.
• Write a clear title that says what the topic is about, in normal letters. "Tank won't respawn after the round ends" helps everyone; "HELP!!!" or a title in capitals doesn't.
• Add tags if the section has them, so others can find your topic.

Writing

• One topic per subject, and keep replies on that subject. A new question gets its own topic.
• Don't post the same thing twice, in one section or across several.
• Don't bump. Replies like "bump", "+1" or "any news?" only push a topic up. Use Like, or Vote on suggestions, instead.
• Quote only what you're answering, not a whole long post.
• Keep it readable. No walls of capitals, emoji or repeated punctuation.
• Speak for yourself. Don't pretend to be staff, another member or the studio, and don't post someone else's work as your own.

Sections with their own rules

• Bug reports: one bug per topic. Say what happened, what you expected, and how to make it happen again, with a picture or video if you can. If a bug could be used to cheat or to hurt other players, don't post it: send a support request so only staff see it.
• Suggestions: one idea per topic, and explain why it would make the game better. Vote for ideas you like instead of replying "+1". Staff decide what gets made; a suggestion with many votes isn't a promise.
• Help: when someone answers your question, mark the reply that solved it, so the next person finds it quickly.

Not in the forums

• Advertising: other games, groups, servers, shops or channels, unless staff asked for it.
• Begging or trading: for Robux, items, ranks or accounts.
• Cheats and exploits: how to use them, where to get them, or offers to share them.
• Arguing with moderation in public. If you think a decision was wrong, send a support request.
• Personal details, yours or anyone's: real names, addresses, phone numbers, passwords or sign-in codes.

Roblox verification and new members

• Link your Roblox account (Account → Roblox) to start topics and to add links, pictures or videos to your posts. Without it you can still read, reply in plain text, like and vote.
• New members can post a little less at first, and their first post waits for Security Staff's approval. The limits lift after a few days.

When something's wrong

Use Report on a post or a profile instead of arguing back. Only staff see who reported. Security Staff may edit titles, move or lock topics, remove posts, and warn, mute or ban members, depending on how serious it is. Repeatedly breaking these posting rules counts as breaking the Community Rules.
